Bath

Rowan loves bath time:) Rowan and Eamon have the best time in the bath when we go visit or they come visit us. I haven't gotten too many pictures of them, though. Next time they come over or we go over there, I'll have to get a picture of them splashing.

Rowan will always pull the drain plug out. I keep putting it in. He keeps pulling it out. He tries to put it back sometimes, but he can't quite get it in just right.

I showed him how to blow out in the bathtub, and he just immediately did it too! I'm very proud of him. He'll, hopefully, be a good little swimmer.

I think he's teething again...

The faucet water must be delicious...
By the way, have you seen those teeth? He's got four of them now:)

September pictures

Here are some pictures to sum up the last few weeks. You may notice that some of these pictures are very dark. That is because there hasn't been much light due to the fact that it has done nothing but RAIN. For weeks now. I'm sure everyone reading this has been utterly rejoicing at the last few days. Sunshine! Crisp, fallish weather! Bright blue skies!!! It's amazing. I love this time of year.

Here are Eamon and Rowan playing in Eamon's kitchen at his grandmother, Mama Marie's, house. Last weekend we all went to watch the Auburn game, and the boys had the best time playing. Thank you, Mrs. Guess, for having us all over:) We always love visiting. It's like home away from home at the Guess house.

Rowan and Daddy one morning...

Grandaddy, Gran T, Olivia, and Alex - Rowan LOVES this push toy. He pushes it all over the house. He even puts little small toys on it (as if it is a cart) and pushes it around. And he'll climb up on it as if it's a scooter (or a Segway...hehe).

Dog rear-ends are showing up in so many of my pictures these days;)

Laney and Bella all snuggled up...

Friday night we went to the Greek Festival. Dad and Twyla met us there, and it was fun (although extremely crowded and hot inside due to the rain chasing everyone in). Rowan's started pumping his little fist to music when he hears it. It's pretty cute. He seemed to really enjoy the music at the Greek festival (and the food too!).
He's a pretty adventurous eater. Along with Greek food, we also discovered last night that he seems to very much enjoy Indian food (curry and rice and Naan bread is right up his alley). I don't have pictures, but I just wanted to write that down. I know kids usually go through a phase where they won't eat anything but grilled cheese or something, but for now, we're really enjoying his adventurous tastes:)
Sunday night we had some friends over for dinner. It was lots of fun. Thanks, guys, for coming over. And it was so great to see you, Trish!!!

To Grammy and Grandpa

Thank you so much for visiting tonight. We had a really nice time, and it was so good to see you. And I decided that you guys needed a new blog post when you got home (although I doubt you will be checking the blog tonight). I've gotten some pictures organized, so I'll try to make a few posts tonight before I go to bed. Yay! New pictures:)

For those who haven't seen it, here's Rowan and the hair dryer. He loves this thing these days. If you ask him what a hair dryer does, he holds his hand up to his head, fist clenched like he's holding something, and makes this motor noise (like a hmmmmmmm sound). So cute. And funny. I suspect his fascination is from watching me get ready for work in the mornings.

Why, Laney, you are looking a little damp....

Pepper Place and Art Walk (Sept. 12)

Like those aviators?
There's something hidden in the vines:)

Pepper Place is the pricier farmer's market in Birmingham. But it is fun and there's good food, live music, organic choices, and nice ambiance. We enjoy just going to people watch.

After Pepper Place, we headed over to Art Walk down on Morris Ave and 1st and 2nd Streets North. There are tents with various artists, and then businesses open their doors to showcase the different local artists. There were some beautiful, interesting, and hilarious pieces of art and photography at the event. It was a lot of fun. We met Elizabeth at Pepper Place, and then Mom at Art Walk, and so we enjoyed good company too:)
I know. I know. I'm trying to be arty here, and I likely failed. But I kinda like this picture.
Here's one with your glasses on...(without Elizabeth)

The Park on Labor Day

First a cute one of Ed, Eamon, and Rowan:)

On Labor Day weekend we went to the park in Helena to get a little outdoors time and let the dogs swim.

Rowan really enjoyed walking in the grass.

At first he's a little apprehensive.

Now he's trying to figure out exactly what's going on here.

Blowing kisses...
