Easter Weekend

Saturday Grandmommy playing with Rowan -

Easter morning we woke up to this view. The mist over the water was so peaceful and beautiful. I had to go outside to enjoy it for a while.

I was taking this picture, when I noticed something...See the goose tracks?

Rowan was just waking up when I came back inside.

We went to Mom and Quinn's church in Gadsden, and it was a very nice service. They also have a wonderful garden at the church where we spent some time after. We had lunch there as well and some very delicious food.

Grammy (Specht) made this Easter bib for Rowan and sent it to us so. Actually she made two and they are adorable! See?
Back at Mom's, we got out of our Easter clothes and got comfortable.
Here is the other bib that Grammy Specht made for Rowan!
Auntie Trisha came to visit on Sunday after we got back to Birmingham. We were so glad that she came by!

Home now

I was gone two days this week to Miami, FL for a conference for work. It was actually quite a good conference, and I enjoyed myself and met some really nice, new people. But when it was time to go, I was SO ready to come home.  I missed my baby like crazy.

Thank you Dad, Twyla, Alex, Olivia for having Rowan and Clarence there. I think this made it much easier for Clarence in the driving situation. And thanks, Mom, for coming to play with him yesterday. I know he had a really great time with everybody. He seems so happy, even though he's not feeling well with another cold:(

I still have Easter pictures to post, and I  have some pics from Miami, but I thought I'd post one Dad sent me this morning of Liv and Rowan. Livy's eyes may be closed b/c she's smiling, but I think that's why I like it so much. Love you guys:)

The park

Yesterday after work, Rowan and I met Daddy over at Emily's house in Cahaba Heights. We took a walk down the street to the park, and Rowan went on the swing and "played" at the park for the first time! Thankfully Daddy has a pretty good camera phone on his Blackberry, so we got a few pictures.

Here's one of Rowan on the swing (note the blanket stuff in front of him to make sure he didn't slide down or bump his face).

Emily took him down the slide. Actually, she slid down first with him in her lap, but we didn't get a picture. But here she is sliding him down "by himself".

More weekend pics

These are Amy's pictures (thank you, Amy, for letting us grab these pictures from Picasa!).

Here is Kristi and Jules. Isn't she so sweet?

Rowan wants some of what Eamon's having;)

Eamon tickling Rowan's feet.

All the kids!! In the picture below it's Juliana, Eamon, Rowan, Rosie, and Evie.

Rowan loves cheese....

That is not real cheese, so please do not fret;)

Airshow, Birthdays and Dyers

If you don't like planes, this might be a good post to skip;)

Last weekend we went to the Tuscaloosa Airshow. It was exciting because, well, who doesn't enjoy a goo airshow?! But also we used to go when Alex was little and this was the first year that he was going that he remembered. And we think it was Olivia and definitely Rowan's first airshow. It was a pretty good one (once we got in the gate), but quite the mess to get in and out. The shuttle buses were ridiculous. We stood at the "shuttle stop" for over an hour and a half before anyone picked us up. Then going home, Emily, Clarence, and Alex walked back to get the car while Dad, Olivia, Rowan, and I sat in our lawn chairs on the side of the road waiting for them to pick us up. It was actually quite entertaining as they were giving Huey rides, and the helicopter kept going over our heads. Rowan really enjoyed that. He would smile at the helicopter as it would go by.

We saw a lot of planes - A10 Thunderbolt/Warthog, C130, B52, F18, P51 Mustangs, Golden Knights parachute team, Shell Aerobatic Team, and I'm sure there were others.

Some pictures on the ground...

Fat Albert warmed up the crowd -

Clarence grabbed the camera while I was holding Rowan and got some really great pictures of the Blue Angels.
But first, this one of us playing...

Rowan fell asleep! How he could sleep through the Blue Angels, I have no idea;) But Olivia and Alex helped me hold his ears (we also had cotton in them for ear plugs).

I love this picture.

Down to business...

Upside down...
The picture below is really cool. The plane in the front is actually two planes (planes 1 and 3). One is upside down and is actually behind the other.

Sunday Rachel, Nathan, Evie, Rosie, and Jules came in to Birmingham. Nathan took Evie and Rosie to Walking with Dinosaurs (which looked very exciting), and we got to meet little Juliana Dyer. She was really beautiful, and it was fun having the babies (and children) together for the afternoon. Amy will hopefully send a picture for me to post, but you can see all the kids together here: http://walshesinal.blogspot.com/2009/04/palm-sunday.html
It was also Mama Marie and Papa Guess's birthday. They were so sweet to invite all of us to join in their celebration and visit for the day! Happy Birthday!!! Thank you so much for having us over!
