Weekend at Home

Weekend mornings. It's nice to be at home. Lydia enjoyed playing with her Hungry Hungry Caterpillar toy. We were all wearing our slippers and enjoying just tinkering around the house.

Rowan made pancakes for us.

We ate outside on the deck.

Lydia is two.

BUT she will soon be three.

She and Daddy played chess.

I took some pictures of Rowan's shirt. He and his class made them at school for his class end-of-the-year party. The party was Friday, and it was a jungle theme. The shirts were adorable.

Here he's showing me a good lion's roar.

Fun with Rowan

He enjoys beating me.

Mentone

We have been doing quite a bit of traveling the past month, but it has been very fun and very good, quality time with our families. The first weekend, we went to Mentone to spend time with Mom and Papa Quinn at his new cabin. Even though it was pretty cold and rainy, we had a great time making fires and snuggling, drinking hot tea.

Cheese!

Puzzles on the bed

Rowan's all about his hot tea

Papa Quinn is hilarious

Lydia was calling this pony that GG gave her "Big Ole Pony", and the name has stuck. haha. In the picture below, she was saying, "Do you like my big ole pony?" haha.

We celebrated Clarence's birthday.

Snow Days

On the third day of our three days at home due to possible snow and ice, we had snow. We got all bundled up and went out first thing in the morning (before breakfast) to play.

Lydia felt like she needed her backpack for playing in the snow.

Rowan only wanted to throw the snow at us.

Oh, and snow angels..

and Lydia must do everything her brother does.

We collected snow for snow-cream! It was delicious.

I should say that Rowan collected snow. Lydia had a little snack.

Bella had a great time in the snow. She was playing like a puppy and following us all over the yard.

At one point, Bella forgot that she was 10 yrs old, and she took off running at full speed across the yard. I haven't seen her run like that in years! Managed to get a picture, but it is a smidge blurry and overexposed. Wasn't expecting her to go flying off through the snow!
