Another Weekend Post

Mom came into town and brought the kids Easter baskets.

As you can see, Ro was pretty excited about what was in his.

Look at those waves! - and she got ahold of a passy, but it still didn't seem to hold her interest (thankfully).

After nap-

She immediately tries to put her shoes on when she wakes up.

We think she's teething again (been seeing a lot of this lately) -

We were listening to Irish jigs, and she decided she needed to dance in the chair (for St. Patrick's Day).

 

Our Weekend in a Nutshell

Camping

A few weeks ago, we went camping with Clarence's Land Cruiser group. It was a lot of fun, but it was fairly cold.

It's not just dolls and tea parties up in here...though she likes those too! ;)

 

You might be saying, "Is there ever a time they don't have laundry lying all around?" The answer is no. There is not.

And now you may be saying to yourself, "Do the kids always have some sort of yogurt crust on their faces?" The answer is yes. Yes they do. Almost always;)

The Greatest Show on Earth

We went to the circus this year. We spent a fortune. We caved at the light-up, spinning toys (to be fair, Rowan still has a working toy from the circus we went to 2 years ago, so they aren't as crappy as they used to be). We were a little shell-shocked from the price of things, but then the show began...and it was all worth it. Every...last...cent was worth it for Lydia's reaction. I've never seen her so excited about anything. She kept saying, "Wow, Mommy! Wow!!" and she'd jump up and down and point and call out the animals. She was waving and yelling, "Hi, Doggy! Hi Horsey!" It was just awesome. I wish I could somehow freeze that memory in my mind b/c it was one of the happiest moments of my life. I didn't get a picture of her response b/c I was just trying to keep her from toppling over the people in front of us (in all her excitement), but here she is admiring her little spinning toy thing.
